"If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. In fact, I don't think there would ever be enough to express how amazing this place is. Being a curvier woman, I was dreading my whole wedding dress shopping experience - so much so that I had convinced myself I'd be happy with any old thing ordered online, and that I didn't care about the dress. A friend convinced me to get myself to a shop and try on some styles just to see how I felt, so I did my research and stumbled across this little gem.
Before going into CCB I felt sick, I sat in the car with my head in my hands dreading the next few hours. But I needn't have worried. From the moment I stepped through the doors Jane made me feel so welcome. She was super chatty, it was like we'd popped in to see a family friend of many years. She took the time to get to know me and asked about the wedding, my partner, styles of dresses, and what I liked/disliked. I then chose some dresses I thought I would love and wished to try on, but Jane being the wonder woman she is, led me to a dress she knew I was going to love. I tried it on and instantly fell in love. It was everything I had envisaged, ticked all the boxes and honestly...made me feel beautiful. I tried on other dresses (that I had picked out!) and just didn't like any of them. I kept going back to the one Jane had suggested and before I knew it...I was saying yes to the dress!
I honestly can't believe that not only did I end up enjoying my experience, but that I walked away with the most perfect dress. I don't feel beautiful much these days, but wearing that dress, I felt like a completely different woman. I already can't wait to wear it again. Jane, I cannot thank you enough for making a day that I was so anxious about, become one of the loveliest experiences I've had on my wedding journey so far. "After an appalling try on in another shop, my mum found Celebrating Curves Bridal online. The shop is so clean, tidy and has all the dresses you could imagine, and although is more marketed towards plus size, I feel all the brides need Jane for their wedding dress shop experience. I already went dress shopping before to get a feel of what I wanted, but OMG I felt so gorgeous in all the dresses! The fitting room is huge! So much space I didn't break a sweat even though I had my mask on through it, she listened to what I had to say, guided us and was really honest on what to expect, how things would fit, especially with me insisting on a mermaid or fit and flare. It is soo important to have someone like her, to fit the dress around you, to corset, pin and hold sleeves in its place, it does make a whole world of difference. The shop is welcoming and really lovely (felt very Covid safe when I went to pick my dress up too) and the dresses in stock are overwhelmingly beautiful. One thing I noticed, compared to the other plus size bridal shop I visited, is that the designers that Jane chooses actually seem to put effort into their plus-size dresses. Not an undersized arm-hole in sight!

However, I was immediately put at ease by Jane. She was so welcoming and the fact that she had so many dresses in sizes I could try on... "I said YES to the DRESS today at Celebrating Curves Bridal and what a lovely experience I had. Jane is absolutely lovely and has such a beautiful shop, it's girly and pretty and just wonderful.
I'd had a couple of negative experiences whilst shopping for my wedding dress, the "normal size" shops just don't stock normal sizes, I'm size 18 and though we'll that not very big, I'll have no trouble but how wrong I was, I had tried 2 dresses on in 1 shop as that's all they had over a size 14 and even went to 1 appt and left without trying any as nothing in my size, it's quite upsetting and very disheartening.
Then I booked an appt with Jane, when we entered the shop, a sea of beautiful, trendy, pretty, sparkly dresses lined the walls, it was so nice looking at so many gorgeous dresses, knowing I could have my pick. "I cannot recommend this lovely bridal shop highly enough. When I arrived, I did not have a clue what I wanted or what would suit me. Jane found a few dresses that she thought would suit my colouring and shape. I’m 40 this year and have never tried a wedding dress on in my life until I visited Jane’s shop - yet the first dress I tried on was the one! I tried others on but nothing quite had the same feel. I haven't dared step into an 'average' bridal store - I've heard so many horror stories, and I didn't want what should be an amazing day and exciting time, to be full of stress, upset and self-loathing. "My favourite place of all time! I hate clothes shopping anyway, and the thought of wedding dress shopping literally made me feel sick. I’d been to a different shop in Sheffield the day before, and while it was lovely to fit into the dresses, the experience overall really wasn’t great, so I was feeling a little despondent.
