Welcome, my name is Jane and Celebrating Curves Bridal is my dream and my passion...

In 2006 I got engaged and I was so excited and couldn’t wait to start shopping for my dream wedding dress. Mum and I made sure our days off were the same and we booked bridal appointments in the diary at shops that stocked the designers I was interested in. We decided to make a day of it and booked a nice restaurant for lunch too, it was going to be amazing!
However, my experience wasn’t what I expected, we visited shop after shop over the coming weeks and we came across the same problem. The majority of samples were in sizes 10 or 12, so being a size 22 at the time it was impossible for me to squeeze myself into the dresses and on most days I ended up feeling frustrated and upset and some days even in tears. Some shops would have a few larger sizes but they tended to be frumpier styles that just didn’t flatter my figure. I was a confident woman in my 30’s and wanted to celebrate who I was on my wedding day but I really struggled to find a bridal retailer who could help me...

I finally found my dress and to be honest, I probably settled, more than I would have liked to, but I also made another vow on my wedding day, this time to myself, that if ever the chance presented itself I would try and make a difference in the bridal industry and fly the flag for fuller figure, plus size brides. So here I am and so excited to be part of your bridal journey. I’ve spent lots of time talking to bridal industry experts and sharing my experiences. I’m now happy to be working with what I believe to be the most fantastic designers who truly understand the fuller figure bride. I have put together a collection that celebrates women and their curves. So, whatever your dream for your wedding day, classy, sophisticated, timeless or just downright sexy elegance we have it all!

Appointments

With an exclusive 90 minute appointment, we aim to provide the best possible experience in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Drinks on arrival and a chat about your plans so far and your vision for the big day. You are more than welcome to bring family and close friends, especially people whose opinions you trust, but remember this is all about YOU, so choose wisely.
Appointments are available to suit you, including evenings and Sundays.

How to Find Us

Celebrating Curves is located in the beautiful courtyard at Staniforth Works, which originated in the mid 18th century and was once the largest sickle and scythe manufacturers in England. The stone built, Grade II listed building in Hackenthorpe, on the south east side of Sheffield, South Yorkshire, has a small business and shopping community and in our quaint courtyard, we have our very own pond and through the spring and summer months, the small garden is truly alive with colour.

Celebrating Curves is only 20 minutes from Sheffield city centre and just a few minutes off the M1 and easily accessible from junctions 30, 31, and 33 .

We are a stones throw away from Crystal Peaks Shopping Centre and only 6.5 miles from Meadowhall Shopping Centre too, so you can easily devote a whole day if coming from further afield.

We also have excellent relationships with some hotels in the area, so we can help if wish to stay overnight.
